Korean Idiom 애를 말리다 - To cause someone to feel anxious, worried, or distressed; to make someone suffer emotionally.

그날 아침, 민수는 평소와 달리 학교에 늦었다. 버스를 놓치고, 달리고 또 달렸지만 결국 지각을 했다. 엄마는 아들이 연락도 없이 늦게 가는 것을 보고 애를 말리며 계속 전화를 걸었다. 하지만 민수는 달리느라 전화를 받을 수가 없었고, 결국 학교에 도착해서야 엄마의 부재중 전화 20통을 확인할 수 있었다.
